The Auxiliary of Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre presented the Hospital Board of Trustees with a cheque for $59,800 for their 2013-2014 fiscal year.
This gift brings total funds raised by Hotel Dieu Shaver Auxiliary since 2005 to more than $722,000.
“The ongoing support of the auxiliary is vital to the fundraising success of our hospital," says Jane Rufrano, CEO of Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre. “Their tireless efforts and continuous leadership to raise funds is most appreciated. Each year, these dollars help purchase much needed patient-care equipment to allow our hospital to be an innovative leader in health care in Niagara."

Over 100 volunteers give their time and energy to make a difference in the lives of staff and patients at Hotel Dieu Shaver. The hospital's Auxiliary and volunteers will be honoured for National Volunteer Week with a luncheon on Friday, April 11th at Club Capri in Thorold.
