Current Position/Role: Ward Secretary
Alissa was previously employed as an RPN at Hotel Dieu Shaver for 6 years then transferred to her current clerical role.

What you like about your job:
There is so much I love about my job! Working on 1 East is a fast paced environment and I just love that I can make a difference! Because of my previous work history and the fact that I keep my RPN license up to date, I can use my new skills working as a ward secretary, but I can also assist with rugs, interacting with patients and families, and doing some health teaching. I really am very lucky!
Any advice for someone coming into your line of work:
Ward Secretary is the core of the group. You need to be personable, a team player, organized, and be ready to multitask.
Hobbies/Interests:
Alissa has been married to Brandon for two years. They have one dog, Casey, who is an 8 year old border collie. They love to travel and hope to see Switzerland someday. Alissa also enjoys skiing, hiking, baking, and scrapbooking.
