Hotel Dieu Shaver proudly welcomed two new members to its Board of Trustees. Hotel Dieu Shaver is privileged to introduce Halley Irwin and Rena McDonald, who each bring valuable expertise, insight, and passion to our organization. Halley Irwin
Halley Irwin brings over ten years of extensive experience in healthcare fundraising, event planning, marketing, and community engagement. She joins us with a strong sense of familiarity, having previously served as the Event Coordinator at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Foundation, where she consistently embodied the organization’s culture and values.
Halley brings a wealth of expertise in managing high-profile events, coordinating volunteers, and leading successful fundraising initiatives and is deeply committed to supporting Indigenous initiatives and fostering strong community relationships.

Rena McDonald
Rena McDonald is the President of RGE and Associates Inc., as well as a board member of Drake Hotel Properties Inc. Rena brings over 30 years of experience in finance and operations within the hospitality industry. As a contract Chief Financial Officer and finance executive, she partners with organizations to build the infrastructure and environment necessary for sustainable growth, succession planning, strong corporate governance, and future investment readiness.
Known for her strategic insights and forward-thinking approach, Rena is a welcome addition to the hospital’s Board of Trustees.
“My years spent on the Hotel Dieu Shaver Foundation board inspired me to join the Hospital board, allowing me to further support its mission and to assist where I can towards the delivery of exceptional rehabilitative healthcare in our community.”
