Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre is inviting applications from community leaders interested in serving on its Board of Trustees, as the hospital enters an important chapter in its history.
As Niagara’s only rehabilitation hospital, Hotel Dieu Shaver plays a critical role in helping patients restore health, rebuild lives, and renew hope. With 134 inpatient beds and a broad range of outpatient rehabilitation and complex care programs, the hospital supports thousands of patients and families each year.
Now, as HDS advances strategic priorities and continues planning for its future growth, strong governance leadership is more important than ever.
Members of the Board of Trustees provide strategic oversight, ensure responsible stewardship of resources, and help guide the long-term direction of the organization. Trustees serve as ambassadors for the hospital in the community and contribute to thoughtful decision-making that supports high-quality, compassionate care.
Hotel Dieu Shaver is seeking individuals with demonstrated community leadership and an interest in governance. Experience in areas such as finance, healthcare administration, strategic planning, government relations, communications, or prior board service is considered an asset. The Board values diverse perspectives and encourages applications from individuals of varied backgrounds, lived experiences, and communities.
