It was here that Cathy noticed that Alan was on his way to recovery. “I heard a lot of good things about Hotel Dieu Shaver before we even came here,” she says, recalling friends and family members that have been patients here over the years. “Alan’s progression since coming here still amazes me.”
Graduating students who will soon face the challenge of taking healthcare to the next level gained advice from one of Niagara’s most prominent healthcare leaders, Jane Rufrano. On March 1, 2016, Ron started volunteering with Hotel Dieu Shaver’s Auxiliary. Currently he volunteers in the Nevada booth every Tuesday, but will be training in the Dieu Drop-in Café & Bistro shortly. Ron wanted to volunteer at Hotel Dieu Shaver to give back to the hospital and give thanks for everything that was done for his wife.
Light of Day Canada presented a $20,000 cheque to the Steve Ludzik Centre for Parkinson’s Rehab from proceeds raised from a Blue Rodeo concert.
